“Hemos derrocado a uno de los grandes enemigos del fútbol”, dijo Monserrat Jiménez, secretaria de la Conmebol.
“Tenemos en el TAS una condena de diez millones de dólares a favor de la Conmebol, más intereses y otros gastos son doce millones. Estamos muy contentos porque hemos derrocado a uno de los grandes enemigos del fútbol”, dijo Jiménez a Fox Sports.
Luego la secretaria de la Conmebol explicó a qué se debió el conflicti: “Él tenía un contrato por la Sudamericana, compró las vallas y no pagó el contrato. Por razones que desconocemos las administraciones anteriores a pesar de ese incumplimiento le volvieron a entregar para los períodos 2015, 2016 y 2017. Sin embargo, tampoco pagó. Conmebol le inició un juicio de rescisión unilateral de contrato, él reivindicó la demanda pero igual le ganamos”.
